Rosemary Lemon Grilled Chicken Recipe

A sensational treat for your taste buds as well as tummy, the Rosemary & Lemon Grilled Chicken is a no-fuss recipe that can be had anytime of the day. Packed with flavours, it is a healthy and nutritious alternative to other fried chicken recipes. A meal by itself, it can also be served with a side of salad, mashed potatoes and gravy for an extravagant meal experience.  


Preparation time:

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Serves: 2-3 people

Ingredients:

For Chicken:

  • 4-5 pieces of chicken breasts, properly cleaned and trimmed of all the excess fat
  • 1 tbsp Dabur Hommade Garlic Paste
  • 1 ½ tsp crushed red pepper (chilli flakes will also work fine)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4-5 sprigs of finely chopped fresh rosemary (If you do not have fresh rosemary, add 1 ½ tbsp of dried rosemary)
  • 2 tbsp of Dabur Hommade Lemoneez
  • Salt to taste

For Garnish:

  • 2 whole lemons
  • Rosemary sprigs (optional)

Method:

To marinade the chicken:

  • Mix 1 tbsp garlic paste, 1 ½ tsp crushed red pepper or chilli flakes, 4-5 sprigs of fresh rosemary or 1 ½ tbsp of dried rosemary, 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, and salt to taste in a bowl and whisk them till they have all come together 

  • Make tiny incisions in the chicken breast with the help of knife to enable the marination seep well into the insides of the chicken
  • Massage the chicken pieces with the marinade
  • Add Dabur Lemoneez on top and once again mix the chicken, using your hands, to let everything come together
  • Keep the marinated chicken aside inside the fridge for at least an hour and to let the chicken get juicy and flavourful from the inside as well

To prepare the chicken:

  • Preheat the grill and brush it with oil to avoid the chicken from sticking to the grill
  • Get the marinaded chicken out from the fridge and place it on the grill
  • Apply oil on top of the chicken pieces before putting them inside the griller
  • Wait for 5 minutes or till the time the chicken has attained a crispy brown layer on the outside
  • Now flip the chicken and wait for it to grill on the other side as well
  • Once the chicken is done on both the sides, take it off the griller

To garnish:

  • Transfer the grilled pieces to a serving platter
  • Squeeze juice of half a lemon on top and sprinkle freshly chopped rosemary
  • Place few slices of lemon on the side and serve hot

Tips:

  • Even though the grilled chicken is a meal in itself, you can also serve it with the sides of mashed potatoes and freshly prepared green salad or salsa
  • You can also serve the chicken with tortillas or pita bread with different kinds of dips on the side for an international food experience within your four walls
